Traditional Art Galleries in Sighisoara (Romania) - awaits its visitors in the warm world of the Romanian village!

In case you get one day to Sighisoara give a run at Traditional Art Gallery to see what beautiful things come out of the hands of true craftsmen.!

In the City Square at number 8, is the House on the Rock. If you go down stairs, in the basement, you will see a cozy gallery organized by the young Tudose Mark (Spoon Man). Here you will find works of six craftsmen from Romania, grouped in different crafts: wood, painting, pottery, embroidery. With the wood craft deals Marc himself and his works are divided into two categories: religious objects and wooden spoon (the carved spoon has a long tradition in Romania).

What I really liked in this corner of the citadel of Sighisoara, is that they try to make a promotion of the old, of the traditional, through stories behind it. Each item comes with a story, a symbol, a legend.

The section of pottery - Like the spoons, the ceramics includes also some traditional symbols: the birds - the symbols of female and the wolves - the masculine symbols. You will see also the presence of the sun or of the seasons.

Here you will discover the most beautiful icons, Romanian handicraft, spoons with stories, religious items, dishes and dish shelves, rustic furniture, wooden decorations, etc.
