For those visiting HK, the three priorities are its night scenery, gourmet and shopping (and perhaps nightlife). This place comes first of those top priorities if you are ready to be enchanted by this extravagant choir of illuminations. The best view is reserved after a 15 minute walk on Lugard Road.
To make your experience 100% purely touristic, you can get to the Peak via Peak Tram. You can use Octopus Card (which can be used for any means of transportation in HK, and even for payments in convenience stores etc.) and you can get a big amount of discount for it. You can also take a bus or taxi.
