The wooden church from Baica - Salaj County

Recently I decided to visit several old churches in Transylvania. In my brief visit, I discovered the most beautiful wooden churches, and among them, there is also the beautiful wooden church from Baica from Salaj county.

According to the inscription on the stone shrine, the church was built in 1645 in honor of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel.

In the altar were preserved some old objects such as: a wooden sink and the priest chair - a chair with only three legs. The church has a rectangular shape, with a polygonal apse and a bell tower.

Inside the church you can admire many carved decorations, and the beautiful wood paintings made by Ioan Pop in the eighteenth century.

The church was restored in 2004, during which the damaged items have been replaced, was performed the biological protection and it was mounted the lightning protection system.
